What is the UNO Online game?
The classic UNO game consists of different card types you should know when you want to play free UNO Online and win over the other players 😉 UNO is a popular card game that is played with a deck of 108 cards featuring four colors (red, yellow, green, and blue) and numbered cards ranging from 0 to 9, as well as unique cards with the text "skip" "reverse," "draw two" and "choose color"
The following UNO cards are included in the deck
- 19 Blue cards - from 0 to 9
- 19 Yellow cards - from 0 to 9
- 19 Red cards - from 0 to 9
- 19 Green cards - from 0 to 9
- 8 Skip cards - two of each of the four suits.
- 8 Reverse card - two of each color.
- 8 Draw two cards - two of each suit.
- 4 Wild cards
- 4 Wild - Draw four cards
Before the game starts, all the cards are shuffled, and the suited UNO cards are dealt with 7 cards to each player. The top card of the remaining deck is turned over, and this card defines the beginning of the "discard pile" - Read on to understand the official UNO rules.
UNO Rules - Remember to say UNO!
Once all players have been dealt their 7 cards, the game is about getting rid of all your UNO cards as quickly as possible, and this can be done in the following way:
Each player must now discard a card that matches the number OR the suit of the top card in the "discard pile" - The first player can also choose to discard one of his 'Special cards' (more on these cards later) - If you do not have a card to discard then you must draw a card from the pile, and this then increases your UNO hand, this you should therefore try to avoid! - It is allowed to discard the new card immediately if it fits into the 'discard pile'.
The game starts in turn in the clockwise direction, but the direction can be changed later via the "Direction Change Card".
Getting rid of all your cards would be best to win the card game. Still, it is essential to remember this funny UNO detail - When a player is left with one card, you must remember to say UNO! If this is forgotten, then other players can point it out. The player gets a penalty and has to pick up 3 new cards from the deck!! - This cannot be very pleasant, so always remember to say UNO!
If you get away with having one card without saying UNO because the other players are 'sleeping,' that's fine; there is no automatic penalty.
UNO Special Wild cards and their meaning
The special cards make UNO Online so much fun, which can change the game completely.
- "Draw two cards " - This card gives the next player a 'gift' - Pick up two extra cards from the deck, mate!
- "Skip card" The next player loses his turn. However, they can play the same card and neutralize this way.
- "Reverse Card" When this card appears, the direction of play changes and everything is turned upside down, quite a fun UNO detail.
- "Wild Card " - I love this card because, with this card, you can switch to whatever color you want, so it's good to use if you have an idea what card your opponents are left with; if you think they have yellow and green cards, then it's nice to switch over to red.
- "Wild Draw 4 Cards" This card is the most powerful in the game and should be used with care - the card can change color, and the next player must pick up 4(four) UNO cards from the deck!
UNO Online Games - How to Count Points
Once you have found a winner, you need to count points - this can be done in several ways, for example, by reaching 500 points first.
In this version, each player counts up their remaining cards based on these categories of cards:
- The cards 1 to 9 give points according to their value (9's give 9 points).
- 20 points for each special card: Skip card - Reverse card - Draw two card
- 50 points for each Wild card.
The total is then given to the winner of the game, and a new game can be started. You can play UNO for free here at Explode Games!
